Welcome to Fortress Mastiffs. We are a small kennel, located just North of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  All of the dogs at Fortress are first and foremost very much loved, family pets.

Health, temperament and conformation are of equal importance to us; and we believe in striving to produce dogs that have all of these attributes, therefore creating well balanced Mastiffs.

 If you are looking to add a dog to your family, we ask you to please remember all the beautiful dogs and puppies out there without homes! Please take the time to check out your local S.P.C.A., shelters and breed specific rescue groups. Rescuing a dog is such a rewarding thing to do!

However, if you have made the decision to go with a purebred dog, then be sure to research your breed of interest thoroughly to ensure this is in fact the right breed for you and your family. This research will arm you with the knowledge necessary to properly love and care for your pet for life.

Whether you are looking for a nice pet to share your couch, or the next best thing in the show ring, you need to be equally as selective of both breed and breeder. Buying a dog is adding a member to your family and shouldn’t be entered into lightly.
